mixed experience

poor insulation slamming doors
The sound insulation wasn't good. I could hear conversations from the next room. it was as if they were in the same room with me. they chatted late, and i struggled to sleep because of the noise. also, i heard doors slammed every morning, which woke me up each day of my stay..

breakfast choice rooftop pool sound insulation water pressure
I appreciated the breakfast at Baba Chews restaurant. It provided a good choice of both Eastern and Western dishes. The rooftop swimming pool was beautiful and offered views of the city.
The sound insulation wasn't very effective , I could hear conversations from the next room clearly. I also noticed the water pressure was low and the temperature was not stable.

low water pressure rusty bottle opener
the water pressure was real bad, it was like a trickle. the temperatures was not stable neither, so i have to keep adjusting it. i think the staff are short handed, and i waited a while when i needed information because they was doing many things at once. the room needed a bottle opener, but the one they gave me had rust. this wasn't something i expect from such a nice hotel.

Admirable Katong stay

peranakan design spacious layout peranakan gallery fresh juice
I found the peranakan design throughout the hotel excellent. My room mimicked a peranakan gallery. The bathroom had peranakan tiles, it featured a spacious layout with floor-to-ceiling windows. The semi-buffet breakfast featured asian delights. I really loved the fresh orange juice station.
The room wall was a bit thin, and i could hear my neighbor sometimes.

The front desk provided polite service. Safura assisted with my requests in a helpful way. Marivel and her breakfast team seemed amazing. I found the staff friendly.

My room had a comfortable bed. Slippers were provided. Bathrobes were available. I found many channels on the television. Refillable water stations were located outside the reception area.

The rooftop pool provided nice views. There's a gym with good equipment. The newly opened mrt line offers convenient access to many places. I noticed a gift shop on-site.

the room featured full height glass in the shower area , letting in lots of light. breakfast was a highlight , offering many choices including freshly squeezed orange juice.
